The current "Ethan Dung" sprites are real photos of the dev — which works as an inside joke but doesn't land for anyone who isn't in on it. A public release shouldn't ship with references nobody will get. So the release version replaces the four photos with drawn sprite art and renames the boss to something that reads as in-universe: Dungleberry.
These changes are queued — they won't take effect until the official beta or release build is published. The current live game still shows the photos and the "Ethan Dung" name.

The Shiteven boss currently uses a red-eyed dev photo. Works as a gag for the dev's own stream, doesn't land publicly. Replaced with a proper sinister floating-skull sprite — horns, glowing red eyes, fangs. Rage mode (phase 2) brightens the skull and adds glowing cracks.

The boss currently named "Reedturd" uses a photo of a real person too. Renamed to the cleaner Reeturd and redrawn as a smug blond-tufted turd — raised eyebrow, half-lidded eyes, condescending smirk.

Silver wire-frame glasses are the identifying feature on the drawn version — distinct from Dungleberry's heavy black frames. Green mutant tint. Stage 2 adds an aura and teeth.

The signature big-curly-hair silhouette is preserved — a stack of overlapping curls on top of the body. Wide excited eyes, toothy grin that gets more unhinged in phase 2 / attack.

Emo side-swept fringe covers the left eye — the signature silhouette stays recognizable. The firing pose gets furrowed brow, red pupil, and a blood trickle; the default pose reads broody and neutral.
